Spirit of the Open 23.3: Jeremy Edmondson

Each year at the CrossFit Games, they honor someone with the Spirit of the Games award. This honor goes to the ‘athlete who embodies the spirit of the sport.’

Each week during the CrossFit Open, No Excuses CrossFit will recognize a member it feels represents the Spirit of the Games. This week’s honor goes to ….

Jeremy Edmondson was not only the hype man during Open workouts, he was also the one responsible for getting the competition floor setup.

On Thursdays after the workout was announced, Jeremy made sure the gym was tapped, equipment was moved, and barbells were set up, just to make sure everyone had a great experience with the Open.

“He was always so helpful in getting everything setup each week,” No Excuses CrossFit coach Lindsay Morris said.

Once the clock started, Jeremy also cheered, pushed, and encouraged members to do their best, get one more rep, and give it their all.

“Jeremy was the hype man on Friday afternoon,” said longtime No Excuses member Greg Hayes. “He was pushing everyone to stay in it and get their best score.”
