How long have you been doing CrossFit?: 1 Year 6 Months
How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start?: I needed a regular gym schedule that would motivate me to go every day and it was exciting
Tell us about your fitness/sports background: I skateboarded as a kid and went to the gym in my older years for a while
What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?: I feel that it gets my mind right for the day, makes me feel good that I have accomplished something first thing in the morning and I have noticed a transformation in my body. When I don’t go, I realize my mood isn’t the same.
Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated?: The upbeat camaraderie of the class, the coaches that push me every day, and a place where I can be my goofy self while still working hard
In what other ways do you use your fitness?: No other ways specifically, I like to be active outdoors as much as possible.
Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment.: I would say the Hugo, as challenging as it was the first competition event I have ever done with fitness and I felt a huge sense of accomplishment.
Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year: I would like to learn how to rope climb
Tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of the gym: All things that relate to cars, I am a huge car enthusiast.
What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or who is on the fence about starting?: Just jump in and do it, you will not regret it no matter where you are at in life
What do you love most about No Excuses?: The camaraderie for sure, the people really help in bringing me back every day
