How long have you been doing CrossFit?: January 2015

How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start?: Some of my friends from school told me about CrossFit and how it improved their fitness. I wanted to better my health so I gave CrossFit a try. After the first couple of days, I loved the coaches and how hard I had to push myself to make it through each WOD. Ever since then, my fitness has improved and I have a lot more confidence in myself and what I can do physically.

Tell us about your fitness/sports background: I grew up playing soccer.

What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?:  I am a lot stronger than I used to be. I also have a better body image of myself and have a lot more confidence than I used to.

Who or what keeps you coming back an

d motivated?: I always have to stay fit for my job because I have to be ready for all of the unknowns my job brings each day.

In what other ways do you use your fitness?: I use my fitness every day while at work, including running and using physical strength.

Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment: My favorite moment was being able to compete with everyone at the Hugo open.

Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year: Deadlifting 500lbs

Tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of the gym: I love the outdoors and hiking in the mountains.

What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or is on the fence about starting?: Patience is key when you first start out. You want to lift heavyweight and do every WOD RX, but it takes time. If you stay humble, work hard each day your at the gym, you’ll reach your fitness goals in no time.

What do you love most about No Excuses?: The programming is great and pushes me harder than I’ve been pushed before. The coaches are always there for you and the members push you each day to become better.

Coach Brandon’s take: “Bradley had a really good fitness level when he joined No Excuses CrossFit after working out at another gym previously. He has really good strength, but what makes Bradley a joy to coach is he’s a really hard worker. Which was evident by his dedication to getting back to doing bar muscle-ups.”
