Can I still get a Friday Night Throwdown T-shirt?
Yes, but you need to sign-up fast or let Coach Brandon know ASAP. He’s placing the order on Monday.
Can I get food at Friday Night Throwdown?
Yes, we will have food available from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Food will be through Low-Co Motion food truck. Cost is $10-12 per person. You must sign-up by Wednesday so they have an idea of how much food to bring.
Is there a Friday Night Throwdown Facebook page?
Yes. Please post your scores, comments, questions, photos, etc. on Friday Night Throwdown page and not the members page.
How do I earn points for my team?
Attendance
5 points – Attend Friday Night Throwdown and do the WOD
5 points – post score to games.crossfit.com by Sunday at 9 pm each week.
*No points for re-testing the WOD on Sunday
Performance
10 points – finish in the top 5 in your division (Rx, Scaled, Open, Masters, Teens)
Challenge
3 points – complete gym challenge for the week and sign-off on the sheet that you completed it.
Theme
10 points – Come to the gym dressed in that week’s theme. (You don’t have to do the WOD in your costume.)
Charity
1 point – each pound of food you donate to North Gwinnett Co-Op
*May not exceed 10 pounds per person, per week. 2.3 pounds = 2 pounds, 3.8 pounds = 3
*Must be items on the NG Co-Op food list
Needed: Jelly, canned fruit, oatmeal, cereal, snacks (for children), boxed potatoes, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti noodles, canned chicken, juice, coffee, beans and ramen noodles.
Spirit
5 points – each team/athlete themed poster or banner you bring to the Throwdown
(Posters must be made by hand and not printed. Posters must be standard poster size of 22×28 inches or bigger. Posters must reveal some sort of effort was put into creating it. Posters may be reused each week. The expectation is to make a sign that would get you on TV at a sporting event.)
2 points – each person you judge at the Throwdown
2 points – each adult spectator (non-gym member) you bring to the Throwdown.
2 points – post score to Friday Night Throwdown Facebook page (not the members page) and use the hashtag
