How long have you been CrossFitting?
“I did for 10 months before my 3rd child, and since I came back, for 1 ½ yrs.”

What keeps you coming back/motivated?
“I like to be challenged.  I don’t quit.  The 6am family.  I have made amazing friends and good competition.”

How did you find CrossFit?
“My husband told me I needed to try it because I am competitive, and he knew I would love it.  It took a while because I didn’t want to look like a fool or not succeed.  It wasn’t until I started CrossFit that I learned ANYONE can do it, and everyone who does CrossFit succeeds.  That is one of the gifts of CrossFit.”

What is your athletic background (If applicable)?
“I played softball, basketball, and threw the shot and discus in high school.  I have always done some sort of exercise.”

How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness?
“What has it NOT changed?  It makes me an all around better me.  I only wish I had this as an option in high school.”

What is the one thing you have done here that you never thought you could do? (muscle up, double unders, heavy deadlift, run a mile, etc.)
“DOUBLE UNDERS…..PRAISE THE LORD!  I have come very close many times to cutting the rope in two.  I have a long way to go, but I am at least doing them.  I’ll take it.”

Who or what motivates/inspires you?
“Jesus is my number one inspiration. I say CrossFit is the one thing I can call my own.  Everything else is for my husband and kids.”

What is your proudest CrossFit achievement?
“Each day I go to the gym because I know I am better coming out of the doors than when I walked in.”

Name one goal/personal achievement you would like to achieve through CrossFit?
“Pull ups.  When I do, I will break out into the running man for the 6am class, or a Disney dance solo for Adrian.”

Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit?
“My husband and children who I adore.  I love to read.  Anything where there is fun, I like to be there.  I’m all about new experiences, so travel is a big thing for me.”

Any advice for new members?
“Anyone can do this.  All the pain is worth it.”

Any additional thoughts/comments:
“Crossfit is a great way of bringing people who would not typically hang out to being life-long friends.  It is the gift that keeps on giving.”

“A big thank you to Mario, Adrian, and Fischer for their dedication to showing up to challenge us everyday.”

Coach Mario’s Take:

“Frannie was one of the first members I met at No Excuses and it’s been truly amazing to see how far she has come since then as an athlete. She has always been a burst of energy to the 6am crew and an inspiration to a lot of people. Frannie works hard and always strives to improve. She has had some major breakthroughs lately with her strength and skills, and does a lot of “extra credit” work with a few other 6amers (Burpees, double unders, etc.). I also see her being a one woman cheering squad to many athletes and encouraging them through the many tough WODs we all experience. She an awesome person, a good friend and a great athlete. Congrats Frannie. We are all looking forward to seeing how much more you can achieve!”
