Olympic Lifting

The NEA Olympic lifting program is intended for individuals wishing to significantly improve functional strength and power-and the Olympic lifts specifically. This individual has a greater affinity for strength and Olympic weightlifting than any other element of fitness, or wants to spend a period of time focusing on strength development and  Olympic weightlifting improvement as to enhance their CrossFit performance.     

“After competing in regional competition last year I quilckly  realized that I was “severely” hindered from a lack of development in the Olympic lifts. I failed to do well in the final event which caused me to not complete the workout. It was embarrassing but humbling at the same time. After the event, Brandon Millsaps of Sport of Fitness CrossFit (http://www NULL.sportoffitness NULL.com/) came up to me and told me to train the O lifts as the “Foundation” of all the movements in CrossFit.  He was and is right.” — Coach Ben Davis.  

It has long been CrossFit’s conviction that the needs of elite athletes and the needs of all others differ in degree, not in kind. This Program will begin June 13th at 6:20 pm and run to 7:20 pm, Mondays and Wednesdays.  

Our very own, Chris Fischer (USA Weightlifting Club Coach) specifically designed this program to run over a 3 month period (16 weeks) where the first few weeks will be targeted towards technical improvement and weeks 3-16 towards strength development and conditioning.   So that means that this program needs to start on June 6th and finish 3 months later and will not allow for individuals to jump in the program mid stream.  So Be sure to SIGN UP NOW (http://clients NULL.mindbodyonline NULL.com/ws NULL.asp?studioid=5154&stype=41&prodid=688)!  Attendance to all classes is crucial to the development of your lifts so please make a “no excuses” effort to attend all classes.

Cost of the program will be $13 a class.

Here is the breakdown:   

-   If you pay in full (http://clients NULL.mindbodyonline NULL.com/ws NULL.asp?studio=NoExcusesAthleticsCrossFit&stype=40&prodid=138), we will give you 10% off the program.  (32 classes)
