Our take on top level performance fuel ….i.e. Nutrition (Fuel) for a Human Being:
Fact #1 — We are energy possessing creatures that use energy systems to create movement of our mass through space.
Fact #2 — Those energy systems, just like in the motor of a car, need to be fueled in order to operate.
Fact #3 — They can be fueled properly or improperly, which give different results in the performance of that mass (in this case we are talking about human beings vs. cars) Example: A Ferrari that takes 87 octane gas will not perform properly and eventually the engine will break down in performance. A lion that is fed veggies and sugar snacks for a year then released in the wild will not perform well enough to hunt, so, it will not survive very long. A human that is fed (or chooses to eat) refined sugars, processed foods like breads, pastas, rice will eventually break down and have major malfunctions in the body such as diabetes, MS, Crohn’s, Celiac, Heart Disease, Cancer, etc, etc, etc. (i.e. “Bottom-Level” performance)
Fact #4 — A human can either be fueled for top performance or “bottom-level” performance and anywhere in between.
So, with those facts stated, we want you to first know that we are in a constant pursuit of searching for the best ways to fuel ourselves (the human beings) for top level performance. Something that we have found to be true, is that every single individual is uniquely and wonderfully made different and different than any other individual ever created……period. So, we do not Coach a “one size fits all” diet, but we do look, very closely, at how we were created and designed, then based on the research, both historically, and observationally, even clinically, we have concluded thus far that the “Paleo Diet” most closely resembles the way that we were created and designed to eat. And to eat for Top Performance (Elite Fitness) is our goal.
