What is CrossFit Kids?

Join us this summer for CrossFit Kids. Mondays and Wednesdays at No Excuses (www.noexcusescrossfit.com).  We will be opening our doors to our newest and youngest members- CrossFit Kids! Kids are our future and their future starts NOW!

The program will be led by Ben Davis, a certified CrossFit Kids coach. A personal note From Ben, “Throughout my life I have been mentored and led by some amazing men and women and hope to be able to help influence the next generation. My passion is to see them grow healthy in all areas of their life.No Excuses is a gym that focuses on crossfit tranining. CrossFit kids will be functionally designed to help kids develop their cognitive, motor and neurological skills. CrossFit Kids is desgined for children in the 5 to 12 year age range. We will be making some modification to this (both older and younger) depending on the individual child and support of the parent. Our world is changing at a rapid pace. P.E. as we knew it growing up is no longer implemented in our school systems. Kids are tuned into Disney and video games instead of running and playing and simply being active. For many of our kids the challenge is not simply becoming healthy but adapting a total different “lifestyle” than what most are accustomed to. Your child’s health is one of our top priorities at No Excuses. Our goal is to do this in an environment that is both fun and challenging. We will show your kids that working out and eating right can be fun!! Our class structure is almost like that of an “old school” P.E. class. We’ll use functional movements that your kids will use in everyday life. Movements like running, jumping, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting and throwing are integral in a child’s physical development. In addition to these developments, your child’s neurological system will be developed for top performance as they navigate in this world.

In addition to the physical aspect of the program, we will promote responsible life choices as well as teaching healthy food choices. We will show the kids the importance of friendship and encouraging one another as we model for them the community that No Excuses Gym fosters. Some of the many benefits of our training program include:
