Karen is originally from New Hampshire where she gained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from The University of New Hampshire. After deciding 21 years of sustaining 7 month long winters was enough, she moved down South to continue on with her education. Karen then obtained a Master of Public Health degree from UGA and finished her required 1200-hour Supervised Practice Dietetic Internship at Mississippi State University. Karen then settled back in Georgia where she has been practicing as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in the state for nearly five years.
Karen has experience working in a variety of different nutrition settings with both inpatient and outpatient clients, including working for a Sports Medicine Practice. Karen has a specific passion for Sports Nutrition and has the required skills to teach you how the way you eat can make a huge impact on your individual fitness goals. If you are looking for help gaining muscle, losing fat, and achieving a weight goal she is the person to see. Although there is no quick fix, Karen will be able to give you the tools to develop long term habits to ultimately live a healthier lifestyle.
Karen currently resides in Suwanee with her husband and two cats and was recently married in October. She started doing CrossFit in November, 2016 and immediately fell in love with the workouts and sense of community within the program. Karen is looking forward to working with individuals on their nutritional plans.
