How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start?: A friend brought me to a workout and I got hooked.

Tell us about your fitness/sports background: I’ve played soccer all my life, even as an adult (off and on). When I started to get into working out, I began teaching group fitness classes for years. Then I started personal training and coaching at OrangeTheory Fitness. I also have my L1!

What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?: I haven’t lived in Georgia for very long, so I am thankful for No Excuses! It has given me the physical and social outlet that I needed to feel connected in a new place.

Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated?: Friends to work out with!

In what other ways do you use your fitness?: Playing with my kids, carrying groceries (I live on the 4th floor), and working on my feet as a nursing student!

Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment.: Participating in the 2021 Hugo Open was so much fun.

Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year: I look forward to finishing my nursing program and getting my first job as an RN.

Tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of the gym: I love spending time with my three boys, traveling and being outside, hiking and camping, and snuggling with my dog, Barney.

What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or who is on the fence about starting?: Don’t overthink it, and don’t feel that you have to “prepare” in order to start – just do it! You won’t be sorry.

What do you love most about No Excuses?: The people!
