How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start?: David (husband) started and had great results.

Tell us about your fitness/sports background: Dance from elementary through high school, taught old-school aerobics and spin

What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?: My husband, David, and son, Calvin, and I all work out together. I cherish the extra time that I get to spend with them while also getting physically fit.

Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated?: David- I’m not a morning person

In what other ways do you use your fitness?: Physical activities with my kids like kayaking

Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year: I want my arms to look like I lift weights 😉

What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or who is on the fence about starting?: You’re going to feel out of place, weak, and awkward. Push through it. Every one of us there has felt that way at one time or another.

What do you love most about No Excuses?: The feeling I get when the workout is over.
