How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start? Lisa Orlandella shared her CrossFit story with me and I knew I needed to try a different direction regarding fitness

Tell us about your fitness/sports background: Very active with baseball and golf through high school and then nothing for 20 years. Started working out again when I started losing my energy to play golf.

What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?: Completely changed my life of sitting around watching TV and being lazy to a lifestyle that revolves around being active and outdoors. I feel better about myself, have way more energy, and continue to learn the benefits of pushing myself.

Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated?: My NECF family always keeps me inspired and motivated to do better.

In what other ways do you use your fitness?: Tough Mudder and Spartan events, hiking, running and mountain biking.

Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment: Those special times when a movement clicks in my mind (thanks to the coaching) and WODs that push me past my comfort zone.

Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year (doesn’t have to be CrossFit related, but it can be): 10 unbroken Toes to Bar

What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or is on the fence about starting?: No Excuses is a great mantra and you will never know what you are truly capable of doing unless you begin the journey.
