Spirit of the Open 21.2: Lindsay Morris

Each year at the CrossFit Games, they honor someone with the Spirit of the Games award. This honor goes to the ‘athlete who embodies the spirit of the sport.’

Each week during the CrossFit Open, No Excuses CrossFit will recognize a member it feels represents the Spirit of the Games. This week’s honor goes to ….

Lindsay Morris is no stranger to the CrossFit Open. This is her sixth-year competing in the event and she continues to improve year-after-year. That was evident after doing Open workout 21.2. She posted a score of 216 reps, which was just nine reps away from finishing under the 20-minute time cap. Oh yeah, and did we mention she did that while being 16 weeks pregnant. Lindsay did the same workout in the Open for 17.1 and had a score of 178 reps. Her 38-rep improvement shows us she continues to improve her fitness.

“I’m very impressed with her. She’s always a hard worker in any workout and wants to improve,” No Excuses CrossFit coach Yessica Rojas said. “She’s pregnant and she gave it her all and improved on it. Imagine if she wasn’t pregnant. She probably would have finished it.”

Congrats Lindsay! We are proud of all your hard work!
