How long have you been doing CrossFit?
June 2017
How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start?
I decided to do CrossFit as a second training to be a better rock climber. I never thought I would love CrossFit more than climbing, but here we are. Now I like both the same.
Tell us about your fitness/sports background:
I did 5 years acrobatic rock n roll dancing. Then 4 years Ballroom and Latino dancing on competition level. After that, I moved and changed to Rock climbing. I have been doing it for 9 years already.
What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?Â
CrossFit is the positive changes in my life.
Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated?Â
Nobody personally, it’s actually myself. I am a person who needs to move every day. Without workouts every day, it is not a good day.
In what other ways do you use your fitness?Â
Rock climbing
Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment.
I guess it was my first bar muscle up during my first ever CrossFit Open competition last year in March. That moment it is my favorite moment.
Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year (doesn’t have to be CrossFit related, but it can be)
I think one of the goals is success. Is doesn’t matter what goals we have… the best part of having a goal is to be successful in what we do.
Tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of the gym:
Of course, rock climbing and my dog.
What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or is on the fence about starting?
It doesn’t matter how good or bad you are… what’s important is that CrossFit makes you happy and that you are in the right community of good people. The people make you motivated to keep being happy in what you do.
What do you love most about No Excuses?
The community of people… Family.
