How did you find CrossFit and what drew you to getting started?

My neighbor, Ethan Darcy, started doing it and we trained together in my basement a lot so he told me I needed to start and watched a few youtube videos with him. Haven’t stopped since.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

November 2011

What impact has CrossFit had on your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness?

It has changed everything. My life revolves around training and in the breaks between training and recovering I coach a lot. Coaching on the computer and on gym floor.

What is your athletic background? How did you get started in those sports?

Competitive Sports: Football, Swimming, and Golf.

Growing up I played every sport in rec league and the three above were my main focus.

Have you always known that you wanted to be involved in training and coaching others? 

Growing up in sports around middle school I knew eventually would like to be involved in some way in either coaching sports or having a hand in athletic development.

What do you love most about coaching others?

The ability to have a hand in helping others achieve their goals and live better lives that they might have thought were not achievable.

Tell us about a CrossFit moment or achievement of which you are particularly proud.

I’m proud to have been doing it for 8+ years and still have a hunger to keep growing and progressing.

What is your funniest CrossFit moment?

Everyday I was training with my old training crew at NECF : Shamloo, Dodson, Taylor, Chris, Ben, Ryan, and many others. There were never dull moments and I learned a lot.

What is one goal you have yet to achieve in CrossFit but are working hard towards? 

The CrossFit Games.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of CrossFit? 

Ethan, Frank, and Tim. Any type of building or creating something with my hands.

What is your advice for new members? 

Stick to the plan and make small goals to achieve.

What do you love most about No Excuses CrossFit compared to other CrossFit gyms? 

The people (some I have known for over 1/3 of my life), the environment of high standards with a fun atmosphere, and the programming.
