What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?

Less pain in my joints, more motivation to try things I didn’t think I could do before and a little more self confidence.

Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated?

The change in my body and mind, the encouragement from others. When I walk in and see the board now, I don’t think to myself that I can’t do it. I know that I can!

In what other ways do you use your fitness?

It has changed the way I work, lift things and move things around in production and it is something I can do with my family.

Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment.

About a month in and we had five rounds in 20 mins that included running, and I hated running. Everyone had finished the five rounds in the allotted time except me, I was in my fourth round and running in the back alone not even knowing I was the only one left to finish, but in the distance I heard someone call my name and as I came closer I saw it was the coach cheering me on from the bay door and as I came up the ramp everyone in the gym was cheering me on and counting down as I tried to get in a few deadlifts before the clock ran out. I’ve never experienced that before! Tears were welling up in my eyes as another woman came up to me and said,” Good job, you didn’t quit! And sometimes we cry!”

Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year (doesn’t have to be CrossFit related, but it can be)

A pull up
