How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Since August 2018

How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start?
I needed to get back into being active after shoulder surgery. I was ready for a change from the traditional gym stuff. I have always hated cardio and can’t stand running just to run.

Tell us about your fitness/sports background:
I played baseball through college.

What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?
I have more energy and definitely sleep better at night.

Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated?
My wife tells me to either go to the gym or help get our 3 year old ready for school.

In what other ways do you use your fitness?
Keeping up with my son and dogs

Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment.
I was really impressed with the number of people not participating in the Granite Games who still showed up to support everyone competing.

Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year (doesn’t have to be CrossFit related, but it can be)
Double unders

Tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of the gym:
Watching any college sport and playing outside with my kid and dogs.

What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or is on the fence about starting?
Stick with it. It works better than anything else I have tried.

What do you love most about No Excuses?
Everyone is very friendly and wants to see people do well. When someone learns a new skill, it seems like the class is as excited as the person who just did it.
