How long have you been doing CrossFit?
January 2018
How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start?
Took one class a few years ago in Connecticut and loved it, my wife and I decided to invest on us when we joined NECF.
Tell us about your fitness/sports background:
I started in a regular gym at age 18 and haven’t stopped exercising for more than a few weeks since. I’ve tried many sports.
What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?
I can’t pinpoint a specific change, but I don’t feel good when I miss a day at the gym.
Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated?
I think this is the best sport to age with, you can take it to any level you want, you can compete or you can just keep yourself in shape… if you follow your No Excuses coaches instructions.
In what other ways do you use your fitness?
I have not bothered to fix the propelling on myself -propelled lawnmower, I tell myself – at least it’s not a sled with a bunch of disks on it.
Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment.
Seeing my girls excited about their PRs and new achievements gets me every time.
Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year (doesn’t have to be CrossFit related, but it can be)
Strict and rings muscle ups
Tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of the gym:
Among other things I enjoy woodworking and photography.
What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or is on the fence about starting?
This is for you, there is truly no excuses why you shouldn’t join or keep coming, if you thought even a little about exercise that means you want to be healthier and this is the right place. It is not easy!
What do you love most about No Excuses?
Like most everyone has said, the community is awesome.
