Tell us about your background in education and how you came to No Excuses.
I received my education degree at UGA and worked as a 3rd grade teacher in Gwinnett County. I came to No Excuses when my brother-in-law asked if I could fill in as the childcare worker. It was supposed to be temporary, but I’m still here!”

What do you love most about working in childcare at the gym?
“The kids aren’t TOO crazy!”

Brandon and Leslie have been doing CrossFit for awhile now, what drew you to taking the plunge and getting started?
“I felt like my sister needed a good challenge!”

How long have you been doing CrossFit?
“3 months.”

What impact has CrossFit had on your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness?
“It has made me realize I can do anything if I truly want to.”

Do you have a background in sports or dance? How did you get started in those activities?
“I played eight years of softball and one terrible season of basketball, but shifted to competitive dancing when I realized my body type was better suited for it.”

Tell us about a CrossFit moment or achievement of which you are particularly proud.
“I was proud when I bench pressed 55 lbs.”

What is one goal you have yet to achieve in CrossFit but are working hard towards?
“I’d be thrilled to move from the training bar to the 35 lb bar!”

What are your hobbies and interests?
“I’d travel just about anywhere, could read all day long, and love to pretend I’m a professional guitarist.”

What are you passionate about?
“Knowing Jesus.”

What is your advice for new members?
“Keep coming!”

What do you love most about No Excuses CrossFit?
“I don’t have to think about what to do for my workout — I just come and it’s all figured out for me.”
