Many of our members comment frequently ‘I need help with my nutrition,’ but few rarely do anything about it. The reality is, creating and sticking to a nutrition plan is hard.
In comparison, many people seek out a coach to help with CrossFit (for example, many people participate in our ADAPT program). Having a coach for sports has been a constant throughout many peoples’ life (football, baseball, gymnastics, cross country, and on and on).
So, it raises a question: ‘Do I need a nutrition coach?.’ To best answer, that question, let’s look at some real world examples.
Beginning in January, seven people participated in the winter Nutrition Throwdown. Over 12 weeks, they worked with a nutrition coach to develop a personalized nutrition plan. Every two weeks, they participated in a 1-on-1 coaching session.
At the end of 12 weeks, the participants had lost a total 78 pounds of fat, while gaining 24 pounds of muscle. On average, the participants individually lost 9.7 pounds of fat and gained 2.9 pounds of muscle. The greatest amount of fat loss by an individual was 14.95 pounds. The greatest amount of muscle gain was 9.3 pounds.
To answer the question, ‘Do I need a nutrition coach?,’ you only need to look at the results. There are many programs out there, but most have one thing in common — they don’t include a coach.
A coach will keep you accountable. A coach will give you a fresh perspective. A coach will help you succeed.
If you’re ready to make a change, reach out to a coach and get started today.
