I joined in February 2015 (5 months)

What keeps you coming back/motivated?
The No Excuses CrossFit family along with the hopes of getting better and stronger everyday!

How did you find CrossFit?
A fantastic friend, Lilly Villafuerte, introduced it to me.

What is your athletic background (If applicable)?
I played soccer and ran for cross-country in high school and in college.

How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness?
I am the strongest I have ever been! Before CrossFit, it was all about running as well as dieting to maintain my weight and I hated every part of it! CrossFit has changed everything for me! I look forward to going into the gym everyday, I enjoy pushing my limits, and (BEST OF ALL) I personally LOVE the invincible feeling I get after a WOD! 🙂

What is the one thing you have done here that you never thought you could do? (muscle up, double unders, heavy deadlift, run a mile, etc.)
Strict pull-ups and dips… and deadlifts… and snatches… and clean… AND JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE!

Who or what motivates/inspires you?
Watching others succeed in their WODs/ PRs drives my motivation to always do better and be better!

What is your proudest CrossFit achievement?
July 2, 2015: I was able to complete two kipping pull-ups continuously!!

Name one goal/personal achievement you would like to achieve through CrossFit?
Handstand push-ups.

Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit?
I love Scuba Diving!!

Any advice for new members?
Stay strong and stay with it. CrossFit can be completely overwhelming at first but I promise it will get better…. But it shouldn’t get easier and if it does, you’re probably not doing it right! 🙂

Any additional thoughts/comments:
Thank you all who have cheered me on and helped me to reach my goals in CrossFit!

Coach Laura’s Take:
Fabi has been such a hard worker since day one! She is very eager to learn and be coached. She brings positive energy to class and has lots of goals for herself. I know how much Fabi wants to get better because she is so intent on taking coaching. She has improved so much since she started and I know she still has a lot of room to grow!
