Spirit of the Games CrossFit Open 14.4: Leah Orlandella

Each year at the CrossFit Games, they honor someone with the Spirit of the Games award. This honor goes to the ‘athlete who embodies the spirit of the sport.’

Each week during the 2014 CrossFit Open, No Excuses CrossFit will recognize a member it feels represented the Spirit of the Games. This week’s honor goes to …

Leah Orlandella impressed us all by being in the gym just 2 days after her wedding to complete Open workout 14.4.  Even though she knew that she might not get that far in the workout, she wanted to have a score to record.  Leah powered through the row and then chipped away at the toes-to-bar, completing all 50 reps! In dramatic fashion, Leah got rep 50 just as time expired.  She has the ripped hands to prove it!

Leah’s determination during the toes-to-bar, her willingness to give it everything she had and not quit when her hands ripped and also make time for this workout embodied the Spirit of the Games.

Congratulations Leah! We are very proud of you!
