No Excuses has strong showing at Garage Games One

No Excuses CrossFit had three athletes finish in the top 10 and two teams place 11th at Garage Games One at Suwanee Sports Academy.Garage_Games_One
No Excuses had 21 athletes compete in the three-day competition from Friday through Sunday.
Glen Wilkins led the way with a podium finish in the Scaled Masters division. Glen was runner-up in the division thanks to three fourth-place finishes in the WODs and a third-place. Bill Bozeman placed 13th in the division.
Laura Mattison placed sixth in the highly competitive Elite Women’s division. Laura won the WOD consisting of 21-15-9 of wall balls and kettlebell swings.
Tecumseh Peete placed sixth in the Master 40-44 division, which included a runner-up finish in one of the WODs.
Angie Drexler got to experience her first CrossFit competition in the Scaled Female division, while William Marsh competed in the Scaled Male division.
In the team competition on Sunday, two teams made up of all No Excuses CrossFit members placed 11th.
The team of Ben Davis, Chris Fischer, Scot Poore and Matt Shamloo placed 11th in the Rx Four Male division. The team’s best performance was placing fifth in the Gauntlet WOD.
The team of Brandon Brigman, Blake Mattison, Tony Palazzo and Zeke Hathcock were 11th in the Open Zero Women division. The group’s best finish was seventh in the rig WOD.
The team of Jeremy Edmondson, Eric Tweedy, Kim Barb and Julia Debreceni fought hard in the Open Two Women division.
Meghan Dobeck and Ryan Flannagan teamed up with two non No Excuses members to take sixth place in the Open Two Women division. Their best finish in a WOD was seventh in the Gauntlet.
Deb Walston teamed up with three women from CrossFit Gwinnett to place fourth in the Open Four Women division. They placed fourth in the Field of Pain WOD and sixth in the Gauntlet.
Chris Crowder and Larry Neal were once again a big help to the event by volunteering.
