How long have you been CrossFitting? Since Aug 2011

How did you find CrossFit?
“My American rugby friend in Japan introduced me when I visited to Japan.”

What is your athletic background (If applicable)?
“Rugby, 400-meter sprinter and table tennis.”

How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness?
“Amazing, it has changed my life. I have a higher endurance, speed and strength. I also have less injuries in rugby games. Daily stress is relieved after WOD, too.”

What is the one thing you have done here that you never thought you could do? (muscle up, double unders, heavy deadlift, run a mile, etc.)
“Kipping pull ups”

What motivates/inspires you?
“I want to play rugby games and have a strong performance each time. I’m able to do that with CrossFit.”

What is your proudest CrossFit achievement?
“My ability to strengthen my core muscles.”

Name one goal/personal achievement you would like to achieve through CrossFit?
“Continue to be selected as a member of my rugby team — the Atlanta Renegades.”

What goals have you achieved in CrossFit?
“I have increased my fitness level for rugby thanks to CrossFit.”

Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit?
“Rugby”

What is your favorite meal?
“Sashimi”

Any advice for new members?
“Play rugby.”

Coach Brandon’s comment: It’s always great to have Hiro in class. He always arrives with a smile on his face and willing to learn. He’s like a sponge and wants to do everything he can to improve himself as a CrossFitter. Obviously, rugby is his passion, but he’s a pretty good CrossFitter. If you ever do a WOD with running in it with him, good luck trying to keep up with him.
